New Fantasyland
We investigated every turret. Every tree. Every creek and every gargoyle on Beast's castle. In the end we created a digital version of New Fantasyland and brought to life a story worthy of the largest expansion in Magic Kingdom history.

We threw ourselves into the project by consulting with Disney Imagineering. Lots of photographs were taken and many nights were spent re-watching some of the Disney movies we'd incorporate into our story.
A flying elephant, a mermaid, a beautiful (and smart) belle and a ferocious beast were chosen to complete our task: reawaken the memories of parents while creating a story incorporating generations of classic Disney stories.

The story would all take place on FindingFantasyland.com.

There were two different ways to explore our website. One was to visit the practical side so that viewers could find information about the new dining and attractions.

The second was to take part in the story surrounding those attractions. A story that centered around an evil queen and a very old curse.

At the end of the site, viewers could print out a royal decree with their name,

The mobile site was every bit as immersive as the desktop version.

My account director walked into my office and said with a sly grin, "I figure there's no way you know about or watch House Hunters International."
He didn't know my wife or the fact that she's an incredible decorator. Thus, I'm fluent in HHI and quite the fan (although I grumbled about it at first).
I had a blast with these, and the HHI group was fantastic to work with. We all had a ball placing HHI into a place they never thought possible.

A good story deserves a great storybook! Working with Disney Interactive we created a New Fantasyland Storybook App to help tell the story of New Fantasyland to young readers.
Readers were able to sing songs with fishes build a gadget in Maurice's home, prepare dinner in an abandoned castle and shoot peanuts from a flying pachyderm.

The opening of New Fantasyland brought the cast of Once Upon a Time to the Magic Kingdom during opening ceremonies. It also brought a real, flying fire-breathing dragon! At least they told me it was real.

Adding a story to this already story-filled Kingdom was the opportunity of a lifetime. This project will always have a big place in my heart.
Here's the whole site if you want to run through it.
